The jazz-infused shrine to the cocktail on Malthouse Lane stands for inevitable moral destruction and one hell of a good time.

They do serious cocktail making without being stingy on fun, so whatever you want from a beer to a liquid nitrogen chilled martini, Eau de Vie (EDV) has got you covered.

It's a multispaced venue that smells of leather and rich mahogany, with a secluded 20 seat communal dining room.

The all-star cast of bartenders is led by ex-Black Pearl man, Greg Samderson, backed up by the likes of Merlin Jereoine from 1806.

EDV is packing everything from electronic smokers, to liquid nitrogen on tap and magnetic stirrers.

EDV is aiming for high end drinkers, the ice is pure bubble free frozen gold from Hoshizaki ice machines.

Solution

EDV is a high profile venue aimed at high end drinkers so it was imperative that the quality of the drink was not ruined by something that often gets taken for granted - the quality of the ice.

Results

Large European cubes used in the Degustation Table and the Flaked ice used in the cocktails, pure bubble free frozen gold from the Hoshizaki ice machines.
